About Conference

September 27-29, 2018 St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering together with a number of interested structures of state power and leading scientific and educational organizations of Russia are holding the 13th international conference “Organization and safety of traffic in large cities”.

The conference is aimed at consolidating the efforts of research and educational organizations, production structures, government bodies, public associations and the media in order to improve technologies for solving urgent problems of road safety.

The regular format of the Conferences (once every two years) has ensured the creation of a permanent discussion platform that attracts leading representatives of science and practice from Russia and other countries.

The responsible organizer of the conference is the Institute of Road Safety, Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Results of the Conference:

  • a collection of reports and posters (on electronic media);
  • the recommendations of the Conference for government agencies and organizations working in the system of road safety in Russia, to improve it and reduce the level of road traffic injuries;
  • a compilation of full reports in English in the journal Transportation Research Procedia, indexed in the Scopus and Web Of Science citation systems, which can expand the contacts of Russian and foreign experts in this area of ​​knowledge.

Aim, objectives and themes of the Conference

Aim:

Consolidation of efforts of public authorities, research and educational institutions, industrial structures, public associations and mass media for the innovative improvement of systems to prevent road traffic injuries.

Tasks:

Topics for discussion at the conference:

Sessions:

  1. System of traffic management and intelligent transport systems of large cities.
  2. Management technologies and means of ensuring road and environmental safety.
  3. Innovative technologies for investigation of accidents and subsystems for their provision.
  4. Technologies in the practice of ensuring the reliability of systems of structural safety of transport and transport-technological machines.
  5. Innovative technologies for the construction of transport infrastructure.

Call for papers

The conference proceedings are published in English in Transportation Research Procedia journal, indexed in the citing systems Scopus and Web of Science.

The articles are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the specified journal and are submitted to the organizers by 25.12.2017 by e-mail conference.obdd@gmail.com.

The volume of articles is up to 6 A4 pages (10 Times New Roman, 1.2 spacing) / up to 15,000 characters. The maximum number of authors of one article is no more than 3 people.

Also, the materials provided by the conference participants are published in the collection of works, published independently by the organizers. The deadline for submitting materials for publication in the collection of proceedings is April 30, 2018.

To participate you need to pass on-line registration using the form below.

Full-time participation in the conference (conference materials, Lunches, social dinner, cultural program, publication of materials in the collection of works, published independently by the organizers) – 5000 RUB (including 18% VAT).

A paper published in Transportation Research Procedia – 18 000 RUB (including 18% VAT). Included reviewing, English translation, communication with the journal for the technical submission.

Payment for the publication of a party made in the period up to 01.03.2018, only after successful completion of the internal review of the article and after receipt from the organizing Committee of the respective notification and payment details.
